2010 - Mid-Hudson is celebrating 60 years of supporting scholastic and community rowing in the Hudson Valley!

Our Mission

Mid Hudson Rowing Association (MHRA) is a not-for-profit organization, supporting sweeps and sculls rowing as recreational and competitive sports and lifetime activities.  It is our mission to promote adult and scholastic rowing in the Mid Hudson Valley and to preserve the environmental and historic beauty of the Hudson River.

MHRA operates from the HRRA Community Boat House at 272 North Water Street, Poughkeepsie, NY.  Club boats include singles, doubles, fours, eights, and a quad.   Storage for private boats is available.   Rowing is scheduled from May through October on weekday and weekend mornings and weekday evenings.  Learn to row, coxswain and coach training programs are offered starting in May.  Experienced scullers row daily in the early morning.

Members enjoy special events year round including potluck dinners and slideshows, the fall Mills Mansion row, the Moonlight row, and winter indoor tank sessions.  Monthly weekend boat house clean ups after rowing include a potluck brunch.
