The best kept secret in the Hudson Valley

2024 Poughkeepsie Regatta

The Hudson River Rowing Association and Mid Hudson Rowing Association will be co-sponsoring a 3-mile rowing race on the Hudson River in Poughkeepsie on Saturday, October 5, 2024. Named after the historic Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) Regatta (1895 – 1949), the new Poughkeepsie Regatta will be held on the historic course once used for the national collegiate championship races.

Races are scheduled to run from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM. The start is at the Culinary Institute of America’s main campus in Hyde Park and the finish is under the Mid-Hudson Bridge in Poughkeepsie. The entire race can be viewed from the Walkway Over the Hudson (2.5 miles from the start).
