Mid Hudson Rowing Association (MHRA), founded in 1950, is a not-for-profit rowing club located in Poughkeepsie, NY. MHRA welcomes a diverse membership and is dedicated to upholding equity and inclusion. Our mission is to promote safe practices for adult and scholastic rowing and to provide opportunities to enjoy the natural and scenic beauty of the Hudson River.

OUR HISTORY

Mid Hudson Schoolboy Rowing Association (MHSRA) was organized in 1949 and incorporated in 1950 by the Jaycees and the Junior Chamber of Commerce of Poughkeepsie after the departure of the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (I.R.A.) Championship from the Hudson River in 1949.

MHRA is comprised of passionate rowers with experience levels novice to seasoned who love socializing as much as we love being on the water. Members are also dedicated volunteers, and we are fortunate to have an exceptional team of coaches, coxswains, and Board Members, all integral parts of the MHRA community.
