Recreational sweep rowing, “open rowing,” makes up half of our regular, weekly coached sessions. “Open rowing” is available to both our annual and seasonal members who have completed our Learn to Row program or have acquired basic rowing skills at another club.*
We are currently offering three weekly coached Open Sweep Rowing sessions which will continue through the fall season.
Participants must register for their rowing slot by 7:00 PM the evening before their scheduled session.
This system allows members the flexibility to adjust their weekly schedule and select sessions up until the night before rowing.
Only paid Annual or Passport Members have access to the MHRA SignUpGenius schedule.
Boats that are not filled by 7:00 PM the night before will be canceled.
Quad sign-ups are limited to one per week per rower. If seats remain unfilled by 5:00 PM the night before, rowers may sign up for a second (or additional) quad seat.
Sign up via the MHRA SignUpGenius schedule to reserve your spot.
Remember, the start and end of the rowing season are dependent on weather conditions and Hudson River water temperatures.

* To help ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants, individuals wishing to join Mid Hudson Rowing Association (MHRA) must have the skills necessary to participate safely in club rowing activities.
Prospective members must either:
The skills evaluation is intended for individuals with prior rowing experience and will help determine readiness for participation in club programs and boat assignments.Completion of either pathway is required prior to becoming an active rowing member of MHRA.
