About MHRA

Mid Hudson Rowing Association (MHRA), founded in 1950, is a not-for-profit rowing club located in Poughkeepsie, NY. MHRA welcomes a diverse membership and is dedicated to upholding equity, inclusion, and anti-racist principles. Our mission is to promote safe practices for adult and scholastic rowing and to provide opportunities to enjoy the natural and scenic beauty of the Hudson River.
MHRA operates from the HRRA Community Boat House at 272 North Water Street, Poughkeepsie, NY. Club boats include singles, doubles, a quad, fours, and eights. The typical on-water rowing season is April through early November, weather and water conditions permitting, and the club offers several coached sessions weekly.

Indoor training sessions are held through the late fall, winter, and early spring. Learn to row, sculling clinics, coxswain and coach training programs are offered annually.
