The best kept secret in the Hudson Valley

MHRA Programs

Recreational sweep rowing and sculling are our primary focus. Members pre-register for the days they wish to row. There is no drop-in rowing permitted. In the early spring, typically mid-April through May, we offer set coached 4+/4x “pods” to get our on-water season started. The pods allow members to regain their “sea legs” with the same small group and coach.

By late May, when the Hudson River water temperature is above 50°F, our team of experienced sculler/coaches provide coached sculling sessions. Coached sculling is available to all members who have completed our Sculling Clinic, or who have sculling experience, by permission of our Head Coach. Members reserve a slot up to one day ahead, to use a club boat or their own shell, to participate in any of the coached sculling sessions offered each week.

SWEEP ROWING

Coached sweep sessions ("open rowing") are available to all members who have taken our Learn-to-Row program, or have gained basic skills at another rowing program.
